Micrograph of pure tungsten metal powder obtained from pure tungsten trioxide of 12.0–20.0 μm. The process of obtaining the hard alloy consisted of grinding a mixture of metallic tungsten and graphite powders in a mill with alcohol, evaporating the pulp, sifting, mixing with a plasticizer, pressing the teeth, drying and hydrogen sintering. For pressing the teeth, special hard alloy punches, made of the VK20 (80 % W, 20 % Co) alloy, were fabricated to increase the pressing pressure to achieve its high density, uniformity, strength and wear resistance.
