In addition, the role of crystallization conditions of ingots (i.e. crystallization speed) is discussed. It was found that alloying with magnesium induces reduction of the CLTE of Al-11% Si in low and high temperature intervals considered during experiments. Moreover, further alloying with such elements as Be, Cu and Zr causes even a stronger reduction of the coefficient of linear expansion in the temperature intervals considered. When alloying ingots of Al-Si-Mg-Be with Cu and then pouring them into a metal mould the observed reduction of CTLE was the largest. Keywords aluminium, alloys are aluminium-silicon, temperature coefficient of linear expansion, crystallization, alloying
