Marksa, Novosibirsk, 630073, Russian Federation Abstract Work is devoted to research of static traction characteristic linear electromagnetic motor with an active area of the tooth-slot. Presented study of finite element model of a linear electromagnetic motor of the tooth-slot area, providing high accuracy of static thrust values. It is found that the maximum values of the relative error of the static thrust produced during the numerical experiment, no more than 4% compared with the experimental results. Results of the study can be used in the study of linear electromagnetic motors with an active area of the tooth-slot involving finite element modeling.
