Marksa, Novosibirsk, 630073, Russian Federation Abstract In this work the topical issues of mechanical engineering devoted to the choice of a method of receiving preparation at manufacture of body details are considered. Article contains detailed information on a detail "Case": weight, imposed performance specification, deviations, roughness, material, geometrical parameters and also for the existing technological process and preparation a material capacity factor, time for processing of this product. The main methods of receiving preparations extended today are considered. Their merits and demerits, in relation to the chosen detail option " Case " are specified. The analysis on the basis of which the alternate method of receiving preparation for manufacture of the product " Case " was chosen as the most rational and economically justified, in comparison with other methods of receiving preparation is carried out.
