A large number of classification systems is a problem in the process of production preparation. The classification scheme of parts has a significant impact on the technological production preparation. The object model of the product based on an object-oriented approach allows to improve the classification schemes of parts and their functional elements. Classification of classification groups is performed in a pseudo-random manner with specified parameters based on fuzzy characteristics. A flowchart of the classification procedure is presented and described. The procedure includes several nested iterative processes. The use of a classifier will greatly accelerate the formation of classification groups. Keywords classification system, function-oriented approach, object, product, object model, characteristic.
