METHODS OF PLANNING EXPERIMENTS AND PROCESSING THE RESULTS OF THE STUDY OF THE GRINDING PROCESS Ivanova T.N. 1, 2 , D.Sc. During the experiments, the factors cause a variation in the values of the investigated value, which leads to results that differ from each other. Therefore, the best possible combination of factors should be found. Therefore, for each indicator can always be determined appropriate combination to ensure optimal technical and economic performance of processing. The paper studies the influence of grinding modes, the concentration of the diamond layer of the tool and their interactions on the quality of the treated surfaces, tangential and radial components of cutting force, diamond consumption, metal removal rate. Mathematical models of grinding process with tools with discontinuous and continuous cutting surfaces and supply of cooled gas and cutting fluid are obtained. Keywords design of experiments, grinding, roughness, the criteria of Student, Fisher.
