Marksa, Novosibirsk, 630073, Russian Federation Abstract The research results of finishing treatment of plasma nickel coatings previously subjected to high-energy heating by high-frequency currents are presented in this paper. The results of the analysis of topography images and surface profilograms after grinding are presented. Dense, uniform structure is formed and the pores practically disappear in the coating after temperature exposure. Ground surface has regular microrelief and low roughness level (Ra = 0.24 μm). It is achieved due to a significant increase of quality characteristics of the structure during the melting process. Keywords plasma coating, combined treatment, high-frequency currents, nickel powder, finishing grinding, roughness
