Marksa, Novosibirsk, 630073, Russian Federation Abstract This paper presents the results of research on the effect of helium-neon laser radiation on the character of the electrochemical dissolution of the material. The research was carried out by comparing the polarization curves obtained using the potentiodynamic method when scanning potentials from 0 to 5 V. Research materials are tungsten and aluminum. The electrolyte is a 15% aqueous solution of sodium chloride. It is determined that the radiation of the helium-neon laser doesn’t affect the nature of the electrochemical dissolution of the material, which allows it to be used for pre-setting the system for laser-electrochemical processing of materials. Keywords laser-electrochemical treatment, helium-neon laser, tungsten, aluminum.
