Marksa, Novosibirsk, 630073, Russian Federation Abstract Functional - logical method can be applied to the calculation technical parameters of food processing machines. This method allows to expand the capabilities of calculation and design of food processing machines by introducing functional - logical relationships and analysis of their dimensions. Functional - logical method can provide compatible of parameters and the calculation of new models of food production machines and their main characteristics for the formation of standard size range. Another advantage of this method may be the possibility of carrying out theoretical calculations of the machine power on phase for the selection of an electric motor.
