Ulianov Chuvash State University, 15 Moskovsky Prospekt, Cheboksary, 428015, Russian Federation Abstract The article presents a methodology for the comparative assessment of diamond grinding methods for cermet hard alloys, which takes into account the cutting power, diamond wheel consumption, roughness, microhardness, tool and electric energy costs in a comparative analysis. Given the use of the same type: equipment, tooling, processing modes, qualifications of workers, parameters of the processed product and its characteristics. The developed methodology will make it possible to make a reasonable choice of a rational method for processing carbide products, both at the stage of preliminary research, for choosing a processing technology, and for analyzing data already obtained in comparison with other methods.
