ANALYSIS OF MODERN MATERIALS AND USE OF THE MOST OPTIMAL OF THEM FOR THE CRANKSHAFT SLIDING BEARINGS OF HIGHLY FORCED DIESEL ENGINES Danilov P.G. , Undergraduate, e-mail: danilov211@mail.ru Vladimirova Yu.O. , Assistant, e-mail: yulivladimirova@mail.ru Shalunov E.P. , Ph. Ulianov Chuvash State University, 15 Moskovsky Prospekt, Cheboksary, 428015, Russian Federation Abstract The paper describes the operating conditions of the crankshaft sliding bearings of high-powered diesel engines, as well as formulates the requirements for materials for such bearings. The justification of the need to use metal composite materials based on copper for the bearing and anti- friction layers of sliding bearings is given. As a material for the carrier layer, dispersion - strengthened composite material of the Cu-Al-CO system of the C0/97 DISCOM ® brand (TU 1479- 002-13092819-2001) is recommended, and as a material for the antifriction layer, the newly developed nanocomposite material of the Cu-Sn-Al-MoS 2 -C-O system. Both of these materials are manufactured using the method of reaction mechanical alloying in attritors and technologies of powder and granular metallurgy. Keywords Plain bearings, root and connecting rod inserts, antifriction material, hardness, yield strength, tribotechnical properties.
