The phase and elemental compositions of the obtained alloys and coatings are investigated. The dependence of the heat resistance on the original composition and structure of the Ni-Al al- loys are revealed. It is shown for the first time that the functional coatings formed during steel 20Х13 treatment by electrode materials consisting of 66,9 Ni…32,9 Al and 79,3 Ni…20,1 Al have the greatest continuity and thick- ness, and also phases NiAl and Ni 3 Al are formed in its structure. Data obtained in this paper show that the method of electrospark deposition on the surface of structural steel gives opportunity to get heat-resistant coatings of Ni- Al alloys of different composition with high hardness, that retain its mechanical properties after thermal cycling at elevated temperatures.
