Increasing requirements for the performance characteristics of mechanical engineering products leads to an increase in demand for high-quality products made of high- strength materials. Their dimensional processing by traditional methods does not always allow obtaining the required surface quality at high productivity. Therefore, various types of combined processing are increasingly used, which make it possible to increase the quality parameters of products and the efficiency of technologies. Combined methods of dimensional processing include electrochemical grinding with a diamond tool with its periodic electrochemical dressing and subsequent electrochemical polishing of products with a smooth electrode. This technology improves the surface quality of products and reduces the complexity of processing high-strength and difficult-to-machine materials and alloys. Various programmable devices and one or two current sources are used to automatically control the electrical parameters of the combined processing process. However, the known devices do not allow automatic control of the processes of electrochemical grinding and polishing of products and electrochemical dressing of diamond tools The purpose of the work is to develop and study the operability of a programmable device for automatic control of the process of electrochemical processing of products and electrochemical straightening of tools Research methods. The research methodology provides for the development of the design of an experimental sample of the device and its testing. Evaluation of the performance of the experimental device is the ability to automatically control the individual electrical parameters of the process of electrochemical grinding and polishing of products and electrochemical dressing of the tool. Results and discussion. Studies of the operability of the programmable device were carried out by electrochemical grinding and electrochemical polishing of 12Kh18N10T steel products confirmed the operability of the programmable device developed by us. In the course of the work, the design of the programmable device was developed, an experimental prototype of the programmable device was made and tested. Findings. It was found that the proposed design of the programmable device allows for electrochemical grinding and electrochemical polishing of metal products and electrochemical dressing of an abrasive conductive tool, which expands its technological capabilities.
