The peculiarities of the methods under consideration are defined. Theoretical studies have been carried out. A generalized theory of the formation of surface layer quality parameters for methods of processing parts with free abrasives has been developed. Analytical dependencies of metal removal calculation for one interaction of abrasive granule with part surface are obtained. A set of mathematical models was developed to calculate the high-altitude parameters of the surface layer roughness at various stages of processing. A method of calculating the processing time of parts has been developed to ensure the specified parameters of their roughness. The procedure for designing technological processes for processing parts with free abrasives has been developed and described.
