Marksa, Novosibirsk, 630073, Russian Federation Abstract The article presents the development of a structural model of a screw conveyor for feeding flour food product. The model is designed to study the elements of the screw structure. When creating a model, all structural elements of the screw (diameters of turns and shaft, pitch turns, interturn distance, turn thickness, turn elevation angles, etc.) considered as alphanumeric variables and set between them relations in the form of algebraic equations. The equations characterize coefficients of connections between the parameters of the model corresponding to the connections in the structure of the real screw. The method was applied to the study of the screw functional and logical connections, and the coefficients of connections are presented as scale factors fixing the size of elements in relation to the main parameter (screw diameter). The values of these coefficients form a numerical auger code that stores the parameter values at transformations of links. Establishing a new code means a new set values of elements, which can be considered as another option screw design in the same conveyor.
