Marksa, Novosibirsk, 630073, Russian Federation Abstract The article describes the modeling of the parameters of the screw conveyor using a mathematical model in which structural elements screw (diameters of turns, interturn distance, angles of turns and etc.) are presented as variable parameters in terms of the "theory of mechanisms and machines". Terms converted through coupling coefficients into mutually consistent equations, in which the couplings cover more than wide range of variables. As a result transformations, a system of equations is formed, consisting of dependent parameters; and due to the mutual consistency, functions with the properties of reciprocity are obtained. On these grounds, the basic formulas for calculating technical parameters were obtained, and also developed functions "associated" with the main ones. Calculations of the main technical characteristics of the screw conveyor, and the correctness of their numerical values is confirmed by comparison with the results of calculations for "conjugate" functions, which confirms objectivity of modeling on this model.
