It is proposed to reduce the level of oscillations by generating “counter-oscillations” by additional equipment – an active damper. The design of the device and the control circuit diagram are presented. It is experimentally established that with active damping, the overall level of system oscillations decreases. This makes it possible to intensify the cutting process without increasing the level of vibration, which makes it possible to increase the productivity of the process or to process materials with higher mechanical characteristics.
