Ulianov Chuvash State University, 15 Moskovsky Prospekt, Cheboksary, 428015, Russian Federation Abstract In the modern world, where the reliability and efficiency of electrical connections are crucial for the operation of electrical devices, special attention is paid to their manufacturing technologies. One of the most promising methods that has gained increasing popularity in recent years is powder metallurgy. This method enables the creation of contact holders with high accuracy and with improved mechanical and electrical properties. Powder metallurgy has a number of advantages, including the ability to achieve high accuracy, homogeneous structure and the fabrication of components with complex geometries, which are either impossible or significantly challenging due to the additional machining required when using conventional methods. In this study, we examined the process of manufacturing contact holders using powder metallurgy. We analyzed the selection of materials and production technologies and evaluated the advantages and disadvantages of creating contact holders using conventional approaches. We focused on modern trends and future prospects in this field. This will allow for a deeper understanding the potential of powder metallurgy in the production of high-quality contact holders that meet the demands of modern manufacturing.
