Marksa, Novosibirsk, 630073, Russian Federation Abstract The paper discusses the design principles of monochromatic beam shutter for scientific synchrotron radiation stations. The key design requirements for the design are described, including response speed and radiation resistance. The developed device enables effective control of the photon flux, which is critical for experiments in the field of X-ray spectroscopy, diffractometry, and nanoresearch. The Introduction section describes the role of monochromatic beam shutters in the operation of synchrotron radiation stations. The Theoretical Section presents the operating principles of various monochromatic beam shutters and provides a calculation for determining the required shutter absorber block. The Results and Discussion section presents the developed model of the designed monochromatic beam shutter and demonstrates its technical characteristics. Keywords Synchrotron radiation, monochromatic beam, shutter, X-ray optics, pneumatic device.
