Barsukova The machining of composite materials, such as fiberglass, is considered in paper. The most important factors defining wear of the cutting tool during milling of fiberglass are anisotropy of its properties, low thermal conductivity and high filler hardness. It means special experiments need to describe the wear. The experimental planning was carried out and methodology of forecasting tool wear and surface quality was carried out too. The derived results can be used for designing product operations of milling parts made of fiberglass. Key words: fiberglass, milling, experiment planning, wear rate, cutting conditions.
