Abstract
The article observes the aspects of creating devices of the image analysis in the near infrared spectral range. The thermal-imaging device that provides the analysis of images on light and reflection in the infrared range is worked out. The device can be used in criminalistics, arts, scientific researches. Test results of aniline inks are presented. It is shown they are practically transparent in the near infrared spectral range and opaque in the visible spectral range. The follow-ing experiments have been done: selection of slices of images filled with ink, research of images sealed in an envelope, analysis of mixed texts printed by different types of printers at the same time (laser, inject). The device is intended to research documents and banknotes in the reflected or penetrating IR radiation. The image of the object being researched reflects on the screen of a standard videocontrolling device, such as a videomonitor, a TV-set, a video-interface com-puter, etc. The operating principle of the device is based on the difference in transmittance and reflection coefficients of dyers in IR and visible parts of the spectrum, and also on increased penetrating ability if IR radiation in some materials. The device can be used for: authentication of documents, reconstruction of information on spoilt documents, covered with ink, dyers, etc., identification of erasures and corrections, introduction of additional degrees of documents protec-tion, protection of stamps and seals from fakes, identification of objects by hidden tags. The device can work to the light and reflection. It is reliable, simple and rather cheap. It has already demonstrated its efficiency. It can be used as an ob-serving device in night vision systems in case it is provided with the needed IR backlight.
